Winter's Teeth

from Escapism by SLUDGEBUCKET

about

This track is about dealing with life, depression, anxiety, what we learn from our parents, from life, how we grow, how we wilt, and how fleeting it all is.

lyrics

Born into this. Thrust into this cradle. Kicking and screaming. Maybe consoled by out Mother's arms, others not so. We're nourished with our parent's beliefs. Maybe what they've learned. Or what they didn't. Foundation of love and trust, or not. Some have cradles of gold, others of filth. Luck of the draw? You live what you learn. You make up your laws. As you go along. Green path. Cold pavement. Sunshine lights the way. Warming our hearts...our souls? Who the fuck really knows...the answers? For what it's worth...does it really matter? Thought plagues monkeys who can drive a car. Winter's teeth. Cutting into our bones. Cold road. Freezing our blood. Winding through nerves. Spiking awareness. Shooting pain throughout. Icy razors cutting deep. Into anxiety. Into depression. Winding along our own paths. Telling our own stories. Cutting along the way. Getting cut in turn. Life is a blessing, life is a curse. Earth our cradles, earth our tombs. Where we rot, the flower blooms.
